Overview

The Legacy Assignments Module enables users to manage and control auto-dispatch capabilities within the system. While functional, this module is more simplistic compared to the new Advanced Assignments Module. We are gradually transitioning from this legacy system to a more advanced assignment module.

If you are unsure which version you are using, please reach out to Titan Maintenance Support.

Accessing the Legacy Assignments Module

To access the module, navigate to: System > Matrices.

Then, select one of the options below.

Option 1: To map all Matrices, click the All Matrices Actions button and select Basic Assignments

Option 2: To map a single Matrix, click the lightning bolt Actions icon for the corresponding matrix and select Basic Assignments.

Features and Functions

1. Searching for Site and Repair Matrix Combinations

Use the search feature to locate specific site and end-level repair matrix combinations.

2. Assigning SLA, Supplier, and Auto-Dispatch

Once search results are displayed, users can:

  • Select the site and matrix combinations.
  • Assign Service Level Agreements (SLA), suppliers, and enable or disable auto-dispatch.
  • Toggle the "Enabled for Site" option (Yes/No) to manage assignments at the site level.

3. Exporting and Uploading Changes

Users can export selected assignments into an Excel spreadsheet.

Changes can be made offline and uploaded back into the system for bulk updates.

4. Copying Assignments

The "Copy Assignments" feature allows users to copy all assignment settings from one source site to a destination site, simplifying configuration across multiple locations.

New Advanced Assignments Module

As we transition to the new Advanced Assignments Module, users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with its enhanced capabilities. While the legacy module remains available for now, its use will eventually be phased out.

The new Advanced Assignments Module provides an advanced way to automatically assign values to tasks, such as suppliers and service level agreements (SLAs). It expands upon the legacy system by offering more flexibility and additional assignment options, including GL code assignments, chargeability, default costs, warranty supplier considerations, and more.

Key Enhancements

Unlike the legacy Assignments Module, which relied solely on site and matrix combinations, the new module allows for a broader range of assignment criteria, including:

  • Site
  • Site Channel
  • Site Geography
  • Repair Matrix
  • Dates
  • Defect Source
  • Assets and Asset Models
  • Workflows
  • Custom Fields

Additionally, the assignment values have been expanded to include:

  • Service Level
  • Supplier
  • GL Code
  • Chargeability
  • Workflow
  • Auto Dispatch
  • Default Cost

For more information on transitioning to the new module, please reach out to your Titan Maintenance representative or technical support.
