DSB: Best Buy
Learn how to use the Best Buy feature on the DSB to determine the best pricing option.

The Best Buy feature evaluates fuel purchase options based on factors such as existing fuel contract daily allowances, fuel cost, freight rates, distance, and available volume at the terminal.
The Best Buy engine runs automatically at a frequency designated in Best Buy Configuration and can be viewed or manually managed in the Dispatch Schedule Builder (DSB).
BB Tag
When Best Buy is run for a load in the DSB Workbench, the load will include a color-coded “BB” tag. You may hover over the tag for details.


Manage Best Buy
Manually Run Best Buy
To manually run Best Buy, click the Best Buy button at the top right of the DSB page.
Apply filters to pull up orders for the correct Region, Date, and Shift(s), then scroll to the right to select the checkbox for all orders you'd like the Best Buy engine to examine. Click the Run Best Buy button to run.

When the run is successful, you will be prompted to refresh your browser window.

The refresh will return you to the DSB, where the selected loads will now include a BB result.
Manage Results
To investigate or edit Best Buy results for a load, click Best Buy at the top right of the DSB page, then use the filters to locate the load.
Scroll all the way to the right in the grid and select the Edit Best Buy button.

This screen displays the available purchase options the Best Buy engine evaluated for the load arranged by sequence with “1” being the preferred selection.

If desired, you may click the sequence icons to re-order the options and click Save.
