Prerequisites

In order for Meter Calibration data to be displayed, tracked and managed in Titan Cloud, the following items must be configured for the Facility.

Tanks

To verify that tanks have been configured in the facility, click Facility Info and Tanks in the Facility menu.

If no tanks have been configured, click Add New. For more information on tank configuration, please review the Configure Tanks article.

ATG Connectivity

Titan Cloud must be able to communicate with the site's ATG. For step-by-step instructions, please see the New Facility Setup or Connectivity Wizards article.

Dispensers

To verify that dispensers have been configured in the facility, click Facility Info and Dispensers in the Facility menu.

If no dispensers have been configured, enter data for the first dispenser under the “New Item” heading and click Add New at the bottom of the page to save.

Tip: Only the Dispenser Pump Number is required in this form by default.

Fueling Positions & Meters

To verify that fueling positions and meters have been configured in the facility, click Facility Info and Fueling Positions in the Facility menu.

If no fueling positions are present in the grid, click Add New.

If a fueling position has no associated meters, click the pencil edit icon, then click Add New under the Meters heading.

For in depth instructions on accurately mapping meters to the ATG, please review the Meter Mapping  article.

Meter Calibration Activity Template

Activity Templates pre-populate fields and workflows for manually or automatically created activities. To set up an Activity Template for Meter Calibration or verify that one already exists, click the nine dots to open the global menu and click Gateway. Then, under Administration, click Activity Template Setup.

For usage in Meter Calibration, an Activity Template will need to have Meter Calibration as its Template Type.

Click the pencil edit icon to update an existing Activity Template or click Add New.

In the Details tab, make sure to select Meter Calibration as the Template Type.

Use the form to set up the template usage and properties. For a breakdown of each available option, please review the Activity Template Setup article.

Tip: In the Meter Calibration Profile setup, you may assign templates to single meter calibration adjustment events, multiple calibration adjustment events, and product threshold events. The same template may be used, or you may create individual templates for each event type.

Meter Calibration Technician User Role

When setting up any User Role for users that should be listed as available meter calibration technicians, click the Extended tab and toggle the Meter Calibration Tech setting to the ON position.

Tip: Don't forget to also grant access to the Meter Calibration pages from the General tab!

Meter Calibration Profiles

Meter Calibration Profiles are configured to manage the workflow associated with a calibration event. Profiles can be managed at the global (client) level or at the facility level.

Global Meter Calibration Profiles

To manage Meter Calibration Profiles at the global (client) level, click the nine dots in the top left corner and select Administrative Console. In the Admin Console on the left, select Configuration and Meter Calibration Profile.

Click Add New to create a new Meter Calibration Profile, or click on the pencil edit icon to update an existing profile.

Configurable settings are organized into the following sections:

General Profile Settings

The Profile Name will be visible on the Meter Calibration Profile page for all applicable facilities

The Precedence Value will determine which Meter Calibration Profile is used if multiple profiles are applied to the same facility. The profile with the highest precedence value (the lowest numerical value) will be used.

Facility Groupings

Select the Facility Group(s) or Facility Status(es) where the profile will apply.

Meter Calibration Techs

Select which technician users can be assigned to the profile.

Note: This list is populated with users whose User Role includes the “Meter Calibration Technician” permission. See the setup instructions in the Prerequisites section above!

Single Meter Calibration Adjustment Settings

Enter a numerical value for Adjustment Limit and select an Activity Template.

An activity will be created using the selected Activity Template if the Adjustment Limit is reached.

Note: This list only contains Activity Templates where the Template Type is  “Meter Calibration.” See the setup instructions in the Prerequisites section above!

Consecutive Meter Calibration Adjustment Settings

Enter numerical values for Adjustment Limit and Adjustment Incidents, and select an Activity Template.

An activity will be created using the selected Activity Template if the same meter reaches the Adjustment Limit consecutively the number of times specified.

Note: This list only contains Activity Templates where the Template Type is  “Meter Calibration.” See the setup instructions in the Prerequisites section above!

Product Threshold

Add and manage activity workflows that trigger when a threshold value is reached for a specific product type.

Tip: This section is only available when editing an existing profile! If you're creating a new profile, click Add New, then re-open the profile using the pencil edit icon to add product thresholds.

Click Add Product Threshold or click the pencil edit icon to update an existing product threshold.

For each Product Threshold, select which Product the threshold applies to from the dropdown. Then, specify the following:

  • Threshold Warning Level: When a meter with this product has a warning that exceeds this level, an activity will be created.
    • Exceeds Warning Level Activity Template: This template will be used for these activities.
  • Threshold Value: When the product meter calibration exceeds this value, an activity will be created.
    • Exceeds Threshold Activity Template: This template will be used for these activities.

Click Add New or Update to save, then repeat the process for additional product thresholds as needed.

Facility Meter Calibration Profiles

To manage a Meter Calibration Profile at the facility level, navigate to the desired facility and select Facility Info and Meter Calibration Profile in the left-side menu.

The profile displayed on this page is determined by settings chosen at the client level and cannot be edited from here. However, a sub-profile can be configured and applied based on these settings.

To create a sub-profile, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Add New.

This will duplicate all settings from the global profile except the product thresholds. You can scroll up to make changes and add new product thresholds. Click Update to save.

To remove the sub-profile and fully restore the global profile assigned to the facility, click Clear.

Note: Once a sub-profile is created it will be permanently applied to this facility until it is removed.
