Pre-Requisites Driver Speed Enable Dynamic Driver Load Time Optimization Setting Configure Driver Start & End Points DSB: Assign Start & End Points to Driver DSB: View Estimations

Note: These steps were simplified in the TFX 25.15 release on August 20, 2025. Previously, Driver Start & End Locations were managed from the Driver page and the Regions page. Now, they have been consolidated as described below.

Pre-Requisites

Prior to designating Driver Start and End points, make sure drivers are assigned a default Driver Speed, and that the Dynamic Driver Load Time Optimization setting is enabled.

Driver Speed

Click the gear settings icon and select Drivers.

Add or edit Drivers as needed to ensure each has an assigned Driver Speed. This should be the average speed taking into account the time spent on highways and local roads, and is used to calculate time estimations.

Enable Dynamic Driver Load Time Optimization Setting

The Dynamic Driver Load Time Optimization setting will automatically estimate the time it will take a driver to complete a delivery from start to finish, including all stops.

Click the gear settings icon in the page header and select Preference & Feature Setting.

In the Preference Setting tab, scroll down in the Default Setting section to locate Enable Dynamic Driver Load Time Optimization. Toggle the option to the ON position and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Configure Driver Start & End Points

Click the gear settings icon and select Start and End Locations.

Start Locations and End Locations are the addresses, possibly unrelated to the actual pickup or delivery, where the driver will start and end their shift. This might be a depot, the driver's home, or something else.

To add a new address, fill in the form at the top of the page and click Add.

To manage an existing address, scroll to the far right column in the grid and click the pencil edit icon.

To designate an address in the grid as an active Start or End point, use the checkmarks in the Start Point and End Point columns.

DSB: Assign Start & End Points to Driver

In the load-building workbench, click the driver's name to select their start and end points from the list of active locations provided. The system will remember these selections and save them for next time.

DSB: View Estimations

Estimations based on the driver's start and end points will appear under Total Driver Details in the load-building workbench and are labeled Total Driver Hours. Total Loading and Unloading Time is also shown in this view for comparison.
