How to Create a Custom Field
- Navigate to System > Custom Fields
- Click the Create button in the bottom right hand corner of the page.
- Complete the required details on the custom field creation page.
- Choose from a variety of answer types, including:
- Boolean (Yes/No)
- Text
- Date
- Integer
- Decimal
- Info messages
- Warning messages
- Specify the user types that the field applies to (all users or selected user types).
- Structure fields as parent/child, where child fields appear based on responses in parent fields.
- Map the custom field to specific matrices. If no mapping is applied, the custom field will be available across all matrices.
- Click Save to finalize the custom field creation.
Using Custom Fields Effectively
- Data Structuring: Organize data efficiently by applying custom fields to the appropriate categories.
- Enhanced User Experience: Provide contextual information through info and warning messages within the application.
