The Dispatch Schedule Builder allows users to create and manage delivery request orders based on current tank readings, and dispatch carriers/drivers.

Open DSB as a Supplier

From the Supplier home page, click the Universal Dispatch & Logistics tile.

OR click the three lines to open the main menu and select Dispatch Schedule Builder.

Open DSB as a Carrier

From the Carrier home page, click the three lines to open the main menu and select Dispatch Schedule Builder.

Tip: When viewing the DSB, keep these icons in mind:

The priority ratings for automatically generated DRs are based on parameters designated in the Forecasting Setup.

  • Must Go: Runout will occur if delivery is not made in the CURRENT shift
  • Should Go: Runout will occur if delivery is not made in the NEXT shift
  • Could Go: Compartment/FTL can fit without a retain

Filter Delivery Request Queue

The DSB page contains basic and advanced filters to narrow the displayed Delivery Requests. At the top of the page, a Region and Date must be selected.

Tip: If Today is selected, the DR queue below will display orders that have an ETA for today + the next 72 hours, to give visibility into the weekend.

Advanced filters may be expanded or hidden using the arrow in the top right corner of the Filter section and include options such as Destination Site, Product Type, Terminal, Delivery Window, etc.

Tip: If there's a specific set of filters you'll use often, save it as a Preference!

Click the “Favorite Preference” dropdown to select a Preference or click Add New to create a new one.

Changes to Preferences can be saved by clicking Update Preference.

Manually Create Delivery Request Order

The system automatically creates a forecast and corresponding loads/orders, but DR orders can also be added manually from the DSB or from the Location View.

Create DR Order in DSB

The main grid on the DSB page can be viewed by Orders, Loads, or Map View using the toggles at the top left.

Tip: Orders can be created from all three views but may only be edited with the pencil edit icon in the Orders or Loads view.

Click the Create New Order button to add a new order.

Complete the form including Delivery Date and Required Quantity and click Submit.

Create DR Order in Location View

Navigate to the Location View by clicking the Location View button at the top of the page.

Use the filters at the top of the page to target search results by region, country/group, state, destination site, product type, inventory type, and/or channel of trade and click Apply Filters. Then, select a Location to display.

Explore Location Data (Tank, Product, Usage, Inventory)

Use the toggles and drop-down menu to view inventory by Tank or consolidated by Product.

Click the expand icon to view additional details including actual and estimated inventory trends for a tank or product.

To view table data as a grid in a new browser tab, click the open icon.

Grid data can be viewed by Usage or Inventory using the toggle at the top left, and may be exported or printed using the tools at the top right.

Click Create DR to create a Delivery Request Order.

Complete the form including Delivery Date and Required Quantity and click Submit.

Confirmation ID

When a DR order is created manually, a Confirmation ID is generated. A Confirmation ID is a unique identifier and record for a “basket of goods."

All associated DR orders created for the basket can be tracked using this unique identifier.

Tip: Confirmation IDs are only generated for manually created orders. Orders created via forecasting do not receive a Confirmation ID.

To view current Confirmation IDs, click the Confirmation ID quick link above the Orders grid.

To view a record of historical Confirmation IDs, click the three lines to open the Main Menu and select Confirmation & Load IDs.

DSB Workbench

Click and drag an order into the Workbench to assign it to a driver.

Tip: To manage orders in the DSB Workbench, a region, shift, and date must be selected in the top-level filter, and at least one driver & trailer must be available. Learn more here.

Once added to the workbench, a single order can be confirmed and sent to the driver by hovering over the order and selecting publish, or multiple orders can be published in bulk by selecting the desired rows and clicking the Action button.

Workbench Tools

From the workbench, you can click and drag loads to different available drivers or time slots, optimize routes, publish deliveries, and more.

Hover over a load to see available actions and details for that load.

Expand Driver rows to view and edit route details.
